James’ soft wash uses a plant safe solution with a mild algaecide that removes and then slows regrowth far longer than a plain water wash.
Best to schedule after the pollen peak usually mid to late May.
Red Clay
Our red clay soil is rich in Iron Oxide which binds to surfaces leaving reddish stains.
James applies a chemical specifically designed to remove it. If the red clay is around the base of your house James does not recommend spending the money to clean it unless the root cause is fixed.
The longer it stays, the deeper it sets into porous concrete.
Shade & Mildew
Shaded, north facing walls stay damp longer and grow green algae and mildew before the other sides of your home.
James is great at removing these infestations and can set a maintenance schedule so growth never gets a foothold.
Annual washing is best.
Black Roof
Those dark streaks are Gloeocapsa Magma. This is algae feeding on the limestone filler in your shingles.
James soft washes it with Sodium Hypochlorite at low pressure.
